Singapore
on the way finally!

After leaving Adelaide behind on Saturday at noon, I sat back and enjoyed the flight to Singapore with Singapore Airlines. Opted for a window seat, not the best idea, as it was a little cramped, but I survived. 7 hours later we touched down in Singapore. Was really nice weather, 31C, quite humid but I liked it. I waited for Sara to arrive, my friend from Sweden, she got in an hour later, then we caught the MRT (train) to our hotel. Stayed at the Swissotel Stamford, was very nice, quite luxurious! Had thought about heading out to see the nightlife, but we were both so exhausted from the long day, so had a quiet night in.
Went to Starbucks in the morning for a traditional Singapore breakfast of coffee and a bagel hehe. Later we headed to the pool to get some sun, but were there for 5 minutes before the rain came, didn't let up for a while in true Singapore style. In the afternoon we headed down to Sentosa island, just relaxed around near the beach, had some sushi, then had a ride on the Sentosa luge. Pretty much a toboggan ride, cruised down the hill at high speeds, it was fun! Later we headed to Orchard Road to look around, before heading back to the hotel. Sara and I parted company here, as I headed off to Changi Airport for my flight to Zurich, Switzerland.
Had lashed out and upgraded to Business Class with my frequent flyer points, was well worth it! Headed up to the Business Class lounge, enjoying the facilities on offer and making the most of them all! Did a bit of last minute shopping before boarding, settling in for the next 13 hours of flying.

HAPPY TRAVELLING
